Türkiye's Consulate General in Cologne celebrated the Republic's 103rd anniversary with Turkish and German friends at the city's historic Gürzenich hall. The consulate thanked all the guests who attended the evening.
Consul General of Türkiye in Cologne Hüseyin Kantem Al addressed the guests from a podium adorned with Turkish and German flags. Guests gathered around round tables in the grand hall, which was illuminated with red and white lights.

Karsu at the piano
Singer and pianist Karsu Dönmez performed during the artistic segment of the evening. After the performance, Consul General Al presented the artist, who had taken her place at the piano in a red dress, with flowers on stage. In one corner of the hall, a painter worked on a portrait of Atatürk on canvas throughout the evening.

Union of International Democrats (UID) Chairman Kenan Aslan and comedian Özcan Coşar were also among the guests at the reception. Guests took souvenir photographs on the red carpet bearing the consulate's logo.
A ceremonial hall dating back to the 15th century
Gürzenich, located in Cologne's old city center, was built between 1441 and 1447 as the city's festival and reception hall. The late-Gothic building now hosts congresses, concerts and cultural events; sessions of the Cologne Carnival are also held there.
