Foreign Minister Fidan meets German counterpart Wadephul in Istanbul
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met German Federal Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul, who is in Istanbul for the R4+E3 meeting.
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with German Federal Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul in Istanbul. The Foreign Ministry announced the meeting.
Wadephul is in Istanbul for the R4+E3 Foreign Ministers' Meeting, held for the first time at Türkiye's initiative. The meeting addressed the Palestinian issue, the situation in the Strait of Hormuz, Yemen-related developments and efforts to find a solution to the Russia-Ukraine war.
Following the meeting, the German minister and the other ministers were received by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the Dolmabahçe Working Office.
Fidan and Wadephul had also met during Wadephul's visit to Türkiye in March.
