Commander of the Turkish Naval Forces Grand Admiral Tatlıoğlu visited the Anadolu Agency stand at TEKNOFEST Blue Homeland, held at the Gölcük Naval Shipyard Command under the main coordination of the Ministry of National Defense and the Turkish Technology Team Foundation.
Tatlıoğlu said that Türkiye's location, surrounded by seas on three sides, requires the country to have a strong naval force. He stated that more than 50 warships were being built simultaneously, including 37 for the Turkish Naval Forces and 24 for foreign navies.
Unmanned aerial vehicles added to the inventory
Tatlıoğlu said that unmanned aerial vehicles were being used aboard the TCG Anadolu and announced that, in addition to the Bayraktar TB3, the Bayraktar KALKAN Vertical Takeoff and Landing Unmanned Aerial Vehicle, which can be launched from every ship, had also been added to the inventory.
Tatlıoğlu said that weapon systems used on these platforms were also being developed alongside the naval platforms themselves. He stated that the national guided missile ATMACA, national AKYA torpedo, national HİSAR-Deniz air defense missile and national MALAMAN mine had been developed and were in use.

Two institutions mark anniversaries
Tatlıoğlu said that the 945th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Naval Forces and the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Gölcük Naval Shipyard Command were being commemorated. He added that Turks had engaged in seafaring on the Caspian Sea.
Tatlıoğlu thanked President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for the Turkish Naval Forces' recent technological advances and Selçuk Bayraktar, chairman of the Baykar board, for his role in organizing TEKNOFEST, which has helped showcase the strength of the Naval Forces.
Thanks to Anadolu Agency
Tatlıoğlu said he had undertaken it. He thanked Anadolu Agency for contributing to the promotion of frigates, fast attack craft, minehunters, landing ships, unmanned underwater vehicles and unmanned surface vessels.
