Hamburg State Parliament marks 65 years of Türkiye-Germany labor agreement
Türkiye's Consul General in Hamburg, Berati Alver, and Hamburg Senator for Economic Affairs, Employment and Innovation Melanie Leonhard were among the speakers at the event held at the Hamburg State Parliament.
The 65th anniversary of the Türkiye-Germany Labor Agreement was marked at an event held at the Hamburg State Parliament.
The event was hosted by Dirk Kienscherf, chairman of the SPD parliamentary group, and moderated by Ali Kazancı, a member of the State Parliament.
Senator Leonhard and Consul General Alver address event
Melanie Leonhard, Hamburg Senator for Economic Affairs, Employment and Innovation; Türkiye's Consul General in Hamburg, Berati Alver; Mehtap Çağlar, president of the Turkish Community in Germany; and Murat Kaplan, president of the Turkish Community in Hamburg, were among the speakers.
The Consulate General said it was pleased to commemorate together the 65th anniversary of the Labor Agreement, one of the important milestones in the longstanding friendship and cooperation between Türkiye and Germany.
The Consulate General thanked the citizens who attended the event, representatives of the Turkish and German communities, Kosovo Consul General Mizbah Mustafa and everyone who contributed to the organization.
