The Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) held a consultative meeting in the Çamlık area of Manisa's Kırkağaç district. The meeting, attended by MHP Deputy Group Chairman and Manisa Deputy Erkan Akçay, AKP Uşak Deputy İsmail Güneş, party members and citizens, addressed the work of the People's Alliance, developments in the defense industry, and Turkey's international standing.
AKP Uşak Deputy İsmail Güneş, who took the floor first, stated that Turkey has been fighting terrorism for many years and that a great price has been paid in this process. Reminding that Turkey has lost thousands of martyrs and many citizens have lost their lives due to terrorism in the last 40 years, Güneş said that despite this, the state has not made concessions in the fight against terrorism. Güneş said, 'This country was not easily founded.'
Our ancestors, soldiers, police and nation made great sacrifices for this homeland. Heavy prices were paid for our country to reach its current state. It is not possible for us to leave the fate of such a country in the hands of the incompetent and unqualified. Under the leadership of our President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and MHP Chairman Devlet Bahçeli, as the People's Alliance, we have been waging important struggles for about 10 years.
'We have gone through coup attempts, economic attacks, and various threats. But with the support of our nation, we managed to overcome all these processes,' he said.
We are also aware of the difficulties pensioners are facing
Noting that they acknowledge Turkey is facing some economic problems, Güneş said they are especially aware of the difficulties pensioners are experiencing, stating, 'We cannot say we have no problems. But we also cannot belittle the point we have reached.'
'When we look at the opportunities provided to our youth, the investments made, and social supports, we see that services many countries cannot provide to their citizens are being offered in our country. We are also aware of the difficulties pensioners are facing. As the People's Alliance, we are continuing our efforts to solve these problems,' he said.
The Terror-Free Turkey policy is not based on any concession or bargaining
After Güneş, MHP Deputy Group Chairman and Manisa Deputy Erkan Akçay took the floor and made an assessment regarding the 'Terror-Free Turkey' process. Akçay stated that Turkey has been fighting terrorism for nearly half a century and that great suffering has been experienced in this process.
Emphasizing that the Turkish Armed Forces and security forces have achieved significant successes in the fight against terrorism, Akçay stated that the goal now is to completely remove terrorism from the agenda. He said, 'Our security forces have achieved great successes in the fight against terrorism. We have given thousands of martyrs, paid great prices. At this point, the goal is to completely eliminate this problem facing Turkey.'
'The Terror-Free Turkey policy is not based on any concession or bargaining. The aim is to completely remove arms and violence from the agenda and to direct Turkey's energy towards development. This process is strongly supported by our citizens as well,' he said.
