$83 billion in agricultural output
Noting that the importance of agriculture had become better understood during the pandemic, Bolat said the government and the state had supported agricultural production. He said Türkiye ranked among the world's top 10 countries in industry, agriculture and services.
Bolat said Türkiye's agricultural output had risen from $23 billion in 2002 to $83 billion. Stating that Türkiye was the world's seventh-largest agricultural producer, Bolat said the country was among the top 10 countries capable of achieving self-sufficiency in agriculture.

Noting that the country also held a strong position in related agricultural fields, Bolat said Türkiye ranked fourth worldwide in mechanization and was among the top three in some agricultural machinery and products.
Agriculture grows 13.3% in the second quarter
Bolat announced that the agricultural sector had grown by 13.3% in the second quarter of this year and said the year had been productive. He said snow and rainfall recorded since the beginning of 2026 had replenished groundwater, agricultural irrigation systems, drinking-water supplies and dams serving hydroelectric power plants.
Bolat said this had led to major increases in agricultural production and that they expected double-digit growth of more than 10% in agriculture by the end of the year.
