A significant development took place in the Ahbap investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Nine suspects, including Babala TV owner Oğuzhan Uğur and former TÜRMOB President CHP member Emre Kartaloğlu, were arrested by the Istanbul 3rd Criminal Judgeship of Peace on charges of 'breach of trust due to service' and 'laundering of assets derived from crime'.
Babala TV owner Oğuzhan Uğur, who carried out joint work with the Ahbap Association during the earthquake period and is among the pioneers of perception operations targeting public institutions, drew attention with his stance during interrogation. Allegations regarding the 6.5 million lira deposited in cash into Uğur's company account on November 1, 2024, became the focus of the investigation.
Uğur claimed that he received the money from a 'family friend' to pay for a home loan, renovations, employee salaries, and tax debts. However, he refrained from disclosing the identity of the person who transferred the money. The prosecutor's office launched a comprehensive investigation to determine this mysterious name and source.

SUSPICION OF FLIGHT AND STRONG EVIDENCE: The court ruled that there was strong suspicion of crime, taking into account suspect statements, bank account movements, TÜRMOB reports, and law enforcement documents. Considering that the evidence had not yet been fully collected and the upper limits of the penalties, an arrest warrant was issued for Uğur and the other 8 suspects on suspicion of flight. For example, he said 'It is Alper Çelik'.
EMRE KARTALOĞLU: AUDIT REPORT WAS SUPERFICIAL The financial advisors in the audit team, former TÜRMOB president Emre Kartaloğlu and TÜRMOB members, stated in their defense that the prepared reports were superficial and did not constitute 'laundering', and claimed that the Ahbap management used these limited reports to mislead the public.
As the key figure in the file, Oğuzhan Uğur, and the other suspects begin their prison process, the prosecutor's detailed examination of the financial traffic continues. FATİH EKE: SCHOOL LIE AGAINST DEBT The arrested businessman Fatih Eke stated that he was owed 1.5 million dollars by Haluk Levent, and in return he was offered to have a school built in Samandağ, but the promises were not kept.
Accounting employee Suzan Düşküner Mintaş said that she did not have signing authority and only carried out instructions from Haluk Levent. The lawyer of former treasurer Hüseyin Küçük claimed that Levent touched the association's money due to his bad habits and went into debt.
