The Presidential Communications Directorate met with visitors at its stand prepared for TEKNOFEST 2026 Southeast. The stand showcased work in artificial intelligence, digital media, combating disinformation, media literacy and public communications through interactive applications.
Applications focused on next-generation communications technologies included gamified activities that enabled young people in particular to take part in digital content production and verification processes. Publications covering the Directorate’s strategic communications, public diplomacy and activities in various fields were also presented to visitors.
Personalized festival newspaper created with artificial intelligence
Through the “TEKNOFEST Newspaper” application, visitors created personalized festival newspaper covers with the support of artificial intelligence, using their own photographs and the festival themes they selected. The content created was transferred to visitors’ phones via a QR code.
In the “TEKNOFEST Studio” application, participants presented news texts generated by artificial intelligence based on keywords they selected from the topics of technology, youth, science, artificial intelligence, Türkiye and TEKNOFEST, using a professional teleprompter system. This gave them the opportunity to experience the process extending from digital content production to news presentation.
Deepfake and media literacy applications
The “Deepfake Detector” application at the stand enabled visitors to test their ability to distinguish real photographs from images generated by artificial intelligence through a gamified experience. The application aimed to raise awareness of visual manipulation, improve digital verification skills and support media literacy.

As part of “Communications Challenge,” visitors were presented with questions prepared on the themes of CİMER, combating disinformation, public communications, Şanlıurfa, TEKNOFEST and media literacy. The quiz-format application allowed participants to experience conveying information accurately, clearly and concisely in a short time.
The Directorate’s publications were also displayed at the stand
Alongside the interactive applications, the stand also featured publications by the Presidential Communications Directorate covering Türkiye’s work in various policy areas, its strategic communications approach, public diplomacy activities, and Türkiye’s historical and cultural heritage.
In this context, 30 publications and two periodicals prepared on various subjects were made available to visitors throughout TEKNOFEST 2026. The activities aimed particularly to help young people become familiar with next-generation communications technologies, assess digital content consciously and critically, and improve their media literacy skills.
