ROKETSAN announced that its KARAOK short-range anti-tank system had successfully hit an aerial target for the first time. The company said the system, whose effectiveness against ground targets had previously been demonstrated, could also be used against aerial targets.
ROKETSAN General Manager Murat İkinci said the successful test had expanded KARAOK's range of applications. İkinci said they would continue to offer solutions suited to the changing needs of the battlefield by adding new capabilities to their systems.
KARAOK's key features
KARAOK can be used day and night thanks to its infrared seeker. The system provides different operational capabilities with its high armor-penetration capacity.
KARAOK can be used against stationary and moving targets. The successful strike against an aerial target has given the system a new capability for use against a wider range of threats.
