Turkish Airlines announced that it will become the principal partner of English football club Liverpool on 1 June 2027.
Under the agreement, Turkish Airlines’ logo will appear on the front of the shirts worn by Liverpool’s men’s, women’s and academy teams from the start of the 2027-28 season. The agreement will mark the first change to the club’s principal partner in 17 years.
Turkish Airlines: A new and important period
Turkish Airlines General Manager Ahmet Olmuştur said Liverpool was one of football’s best-known and most respected clubs, with a rich history and a large fan base around the world.
Olmuştur said they were pleased to become the club’s principal partner and to see their brand featured on one of the most recognisable shirts in the world of sport. He said the partnership would mark a new and important period in the company’s support for sport worldwide.
Olmuştur also said that, as an airline with an extensive international flight network, connecting people, cultures and continents was central to the company’s identity. He stated that the partnership would bring together two brands with a global reach, a commitment to excellence and the ability to inspire millions of people.
Liverpool: A long-term relationship
Liverpool Commercial Director Ben Latty described the agreement as an important milestone in the club’s history. Latty said the front of the Liverpool shirt held a special place in the club’s history and that Turkish Airlines was a global organisation with an extensive international flight network.
Latty said they hoped to launch the partnership on the strong foundation built through the special memories created since 2005 and establish a strong, long-term relationship.
