Türkiye and Argentina discuss cooperation on the 100th anniversary of diplomatic ties
Deputy Foreign Minister Levent Gümrükçü met with Argentina’s Deputy Foreign Minister Juan Navarro. Gümrükçü also signed a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the two countries’ diplomatic training institutions.
Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador Levent Gümrükçü met with Argentina’s Deputy Foreign Minister Juan Navarro. The meeting addressed ways to further deepen cooperation between Türkiye and Argentina on the 100th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations.
Gümrükçü also signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Cooperation between the Argentine Foreign Ministry’s Institute of Foreign Relations and the Foreign Ministry’s Diplomacy Academy. The memorandum provides a foundation for joint work by the two countries in diplomat training.
Gümrükçü also met with young Argentine diplomats continuing their training at the institute.
Türkiye and Argentina established diplomatic relations in 1926. The two countries are marking the 100th anniversary of their relations this year through various contacts.
