Türkiye's total turnover index rose 31.8% year on year in August
According to the August data from the Turkish Statistical Institute, the total turnover index rose 3% month on month. The services sector led the annual increase at 33.6%, followed by industry at 32.6%, trade at 32.5% and construction at 19.2%.
The Turkish Statistical Institute released turnover indices for August. The seasonally and calendar-adjusted total turnover index rose 3% in August compared with the previous month.
The calendar-adjusted total turnover index for the industry, construction, trade and services sectors increased 31.8% year on year in August.
Industry and construction sectors
The calendar-adjusted turnover index in industry rose 32.6% in August compared with the same month last year. The seasonally and calendar-adjusted industrial turnover index also increased 2.2% from July.
The calendar-adjusted turnover index in construction increased 19.2% year on year. The seasonally and calendar-adjusted construction turnover index, however, fell 3.7% from the previous month.
Trade and services sectors
The calendar-adjusted trade turnover index rose 32.5% year on year in August. The seasonally and calendar-adjusted trade turnover index also increased 4.3% from July.
In the services sector, the calendar-adjusted turnover index increased 33.6% compared with the same month last year. The seasonally and calendar-adjusted services turnover index also rose 2.6% from the previous month.
