Türkiye's weather service warns of severe thunderstorms in İzmir, Aydın and Muğla
The Turkish State Meteorological Service said heavy to very heavy thunderstorms are expected from tomorrow in western İzmir and Aydın and across Muğla. The rainfall is expected to continue on Monday and Tuesday.
The Turkish State Meteorological Service warned of heavy rainfall expected to affect the southwestern Aegean. The service said heavy to very heavy thunderstorms are expected tomorrow afternoon in western İzmir and from the evening in western Aydın.
Rainfall is expected to intensify in Muğla
Heavy showers are expected to begin in Muğla around midday tomorrow, intensifying from the evening and becoming very heavy to torrential. Severe rainfall is also expected in the province on Monday and Tuesday.
Rainfall is forecast to continue intermittently and locally in İzmir and Aydın on Monday and Tuesday.
Warning against floods and flash floods
The Meteorological Service urged residents to remain alert and take precautions against floods, flash floods, landslides, lightning, localized hail, sudden strong winds and tornadoes, as well as possible disruptions to transportation.
