TUSAŞ tops survey with 65.2 billion liras in R&D investment
TUSAŞ ranked first in a survey based on 2025 data, with R&D investment totaling 65 billion 207 million 978 thousand 740 liras. The company also topped the utility model registration category with 43 registrations and ranked fourth in the patent standings with 66 patents.
TUSAŞ maintained its leading position in a survey based on 2025 data from the 500 companies ranked among Türkiye's top exporters and companies with R&D centers, with R&D investment totaling 65 billion 207 million 978 thousand 740 liras.
In the survey, prepared for the 13th time this year by the economy and business portal Turkishtime, the 500 companies' total R&D investment reached 257 billion 875 million liras. The assessment examined companies' R&D spending, R&D personnel, patent, utility model, design registration and trademark data.
Also ranked first in utility model registrations
TUSAŞ ranked first in the survey's utility model registration category with 43 registrations obtained in 2025. The company ranked fourth in the patent standings with 66 patents.
Third in exports of R&D products
In the ranking of the top 100 companies with the highest exports of R&D products, compiled for the first time this year, TUSAŞ ranked third with 58 billion 932 million liras in exports generated from R&D products during the 2023-2025 period.
The defense and aerospace industry ranked second in the same ranking, behind the automotive sector, with exports worth 245.1 billion liras.
Employs 5,100 R&D personnel
Companies in the defense and aerospace industry stood out in employment data for R&D centers. TUSAŞ has 5,100 R&D personnel, including 1,190 women, making it the sector's second-largest employer in this area.
