A new direct connection has opened for the Turkish community living in Quebec, Canada, and for those traveling to Türkiye. According to the Consulate General of Türkiye in Montreal, the first flight on Air Transat's Montreal-Istanbul route operated as flight TS314 on October 29, coinciding with Republic Day.
The route will operate year-round with up to two weekly flights using Airbus A330 aircraft. The consulate said that, through a partnership with Turkish Airlines, passengers will be able to connect via Istanbul to other cities in Türkiye and destinations in Asia.

The second route after Toronto
The new route complements Air Transat's Toronto-Istanbul service, which the airline launched in December 2025. According to schedules compiled by aviation website AeroRoutes, the company will offer up to five weekly flights to Istanbul across the two routes.
According to the timetable, flight TS314 departs Montreal in the evening and lands in Istanbul the following afternoon. Return flight TS315 departs Istanbul in the afternoon and arrives in Montreal that same evening. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at Montréal-Trudeau Airport before the inaugural flight.
