Ambassador Ünal also spoke at the summit’s second thematic forum, titled "Green Development: Beyond 1.5 Degrees, Proper Sequencing of Climate Action." Ünal presented Türkiye’s global perspective in line with its COP31 goals and its sustainable development strategies.
COP31 to convene in Antalya in November
The United Nations Climate Change Conference COP31 will be held in Antalya in November 2026. Türkiye will host and chair the conference, while Australia will conduct the negotiation processes.
Turkish ambassadors are outlining COP31 priorities at events held in different countries ahead of the conference. Türkiye’s Ambassador to New Delhi also spoke this week at the World Climate Preparedness Summit in India.
