ASELSAN will showcase defense technologies, experience areas for children and projects developed by young people at TEKNOFEST, which will be held in Şanlıurfa from September 30 to October 4.
The company will introduce its product portfolio, spanning from the sky to land platforms, from the depths of the seas to precision guidance systems, to festival visitors, drawing on more than half a century of engineering expertise.
Defense systems to be showcased
ASELSAN’s stand will feature the TULGAR, ASELFLIR 600, Laser Guidance Kit (LGK), Precision Guidance Kit (HGK), TOLUN, KILIÇ and DERİNGÖZ systems.
The ÇELİKKUBBE Digital Area will offer an experience focused on Türkiye’s multilayered air defense architecture. HİSAR, GÖKBERK, GÜRZ, KORKUT, YENER, EJDERHA and GÖKALP systems will be displayed to visitors in the open-air exhibition area.
Göbeklitepe-themed area for children
The Techno Adventure area, designed to increase children’s interest in science and discovery, will be set up across 500 square meters. In the Göbeklitepe-themed area, children will interact with technology through entertaining and educational activities.
As part of the festival, young competitors will also have the opportunity to turn their ideas into tangible projects and experience engineering processes from end to end. The competitions supported by ASELSAN aim to improve young people’s technical capabilities.
Competitions and festival security
As part of TEKNOFEST, ASELSAN assumed responsibility in Diyarbakır for organizing the Artificial Intelligence in Aviation and Electronic Warfare Competitions. Systems developed by university students were displayed at the Unmanned Ground Vehicles Competition held in Mardin.
Remotely controlled fixed and mobile cameras will be used for security at the festival in Şanlıurfa. Images captured across the event area will be transmitted in real time to the TEKNOFEST Security Center.
“Young people’s ideas will change how we view tomorrow”
ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol underscored the importance of children establishing an early connection with science and engineering. Akyol said they aim to nurture children’s sense of curiosity through Techno Adventure and give them the courage to ask questions and explore.
Stating that Şanlıurfa’s historical heritage adds a distinct meaning to TEKNOFEST, Akyol said Göbeklitepe had changed the way people viewed the past and that young people’s ideas could similarly transform the understanding of the future.
