Health Minister Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu, 2015 Nobel Prize in Chemistry laureate Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar and Baykar Chairman of the Board Selçuk Bayraktar met with young people at the "Meeting with Youth" program held in Istanbul as part of the 12th Turkish Medical World Congress.
The Turkish Health Institutes Presidency (TÜSEB) said the meeting on Oct. 30 addressed scientific research, innovative technologies, entrepreneurship and Türkiye's vision for the future, while highlighting the role of young people in scientific production and technology development.

Bayraktar: What matters is intention and effort
Selçuk Bayraktar, who is also Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the CanSağlığı Foundation, addressed the young people, saying, "As an older brother, I want to tell my young brothers and sisters this: You never need to work simply to become the best in the world. That is not even the most important thing. What truly matters is the intention and effort within you."
Bayraktar said, "How you do something is more important than what you do. The morality and principles with which you accomplish it are more important."
Urging young people to set ambitious goals, Bayraktar said, "Give your utmost effort. And never stray from the right principles. I believe that your faith and effort, and the fact that you uphold them, will bring you the help of Almighty God."
Sancar: Everyone in Chapel Hill knows KIZILELMA
Nobel laureate Prof. Dr. Aziz Sancar said he always wore the Baykar jacket given to him by Bayraktar, with KIZILELMA written on the back, while walking to the laboratory.
Sancar said, "In Chapel Hill, where the University of North Carolina where I work is located, everyone knows what KIZILELMA is." His remarks were applauded by the young people in the hall.
