İYİP Chairman Müsavat Dervişoğlu criticized the government and its allies during his speech at his party's parliamentary group meeting. Dervişoğlu argued that the agenda is being directed with a "look at the juggler" approach.
He recalled that for two weeks, news channels have been discussing the absolute annulment crisis as if no intervention had taken place. According to him, this situation creates an agenda that overshadows Turkey's real problems.
Emphasis on Inflation, Unemployment, and Justice
In his speech, Dervişoğlu listed inflation, cost of living, unemployment, and justice issues. He pointed out that the difficulties faced by retirees, minimum wage earners, farmers, tradespeople, merchants, and industrialists are being ignored.
Implying that the economic program is not functioning properly, Dervişoğlu said there are problems in many areas ranging from public order to foreign policy. He stressed that women, youth, and children need to be safe, yet the discussion is being diverted to another axis.
Accusations Against the Government and Its Allies
Dervişoğlu asked, "Who is responsible?" and placed the blame on the government and its allies. He also stated that those who remain silent and do not object to this process are complicit in the situation.
This statement at the group meeting came at a time when the absolute annulment debate continues in the parliamentary agenda and political circles. Dervişoğlu's remarks highlighted the criticism that economic hardships and justice issues are being pushed to the background.
