President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan spoke by phone with US President Donald Trump on November 7. The Presidency's Directorate of Communications announced that the leaders discussed Türkiye-US bilateral relations as well as regional and global developments.
Erdoğan said he believed cooperation between Türkiye and the United States would continue to grow and that they would work to give relations momentum in the period ahead.

Erdoğan said tensions between Iran and the United States should end and that the issues should be resolved through diplomacy, emphasizing that Türkiye would continue its efforts for peace.
Erdoğan said he hoped growing diplomatic efforts to end the Russia-Ukraine war would produce positive results. He said Türkiye would continue contributing to these efforts and noted the importance of increasing contacts with both Ukraine and Russia.
During the call, President Erdoğan thanked Trump for his support for the Organization of Turkic States Summit.
The call took place on the same day that the US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced it had established a new task force to prevent the transport of weapons and sanctioned materials through Iran's land borders and the Caspian Sea. Erdoğan is expected to visit Karabakh on November 8 at the invitation of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev.
