Strong rainfall warning from Meteorology for 31 provinces
The General Directorate of Meteorology announced that strong local showers and thunderstorms are expected today in Thrace, and tomorrow in parts of the Aegean, Central Anatolia, and Mediterranean regions. According to the latest assessments by the Ministry of Interior and the General Directorate of Meteorology, strong local showers and thunderstorms are expected today and tomorrow in 31 provinces.
In a statement on the ministry's social media account, it was noted that strong local showers and thunderstorms are expected today around Edirne and Kırklareli, as well as the inner and southern parts of Tekirdağ.
According to the statement, tomorrow strong local showers and thunderstorms will be seen around Çanakkale and Afyonkarahisar, as well as in Kütahya, Uşak, Denizli, the eastern part of Manisa, the inner parts of İzmir, and the eastern part of Aydın.
Tomorrow, strong local showers and thunderstorms are also expected in Ankara, Çankırı, Yozgat, Kırıkkale, Sivas, Kırşehir, Niğde, Aksaray, Nevşehir, Konya, the eastern part of Eskişehir, Karaman, the southern part of Çorum, and Tokat.
According to Meteorology's assessments, strong local showers and thunderstorms will also affect Isparta, Burdur, the inner parts of Antalya, and after noon, the northern parts of Mersin, as well as the surroundings of Adana and Osmaniye.
The Ministry of Interior has urged citizens to be cautious and take precautions against floods, waterlogging, landslides, lightning, local hail, strong winds during rainfall, and possible disruptions in transportation.
