Minister Fidan meets Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand in Ankara
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand, who is in Ankara as part of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s visit to Türkiye.
Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan met with Canadian Foreign Minister Anita Anand in Ankara. The meeting was announced by the Turkish Foreign Ministry.
Anand is in Türkiye as part of Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s official visit at the invitation of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan. Carney’s visit was the first bilateral official visit to Türkiye by a Canadian prime minister; upgrading relations between the two countries to the level of a strategic partnership is on the agenda.
Fidan and Anand had previously met in Ankara in March and in Ottawa in June ahead of the NATO Summit in Ankara.
