TEKNOFEST Southeast, which brings together competitions in aviation, space and technology, is welcoming visitors at Şanlıurfa GAP Airport. The festival is organized under the leadership of the Ministry of Industry and Technology and the T3 Foundation.
In addition to its work on the region’s economic and social development, the GAP Regional Development Administration is carrying out projects to help young people improve themselves in technology and entrepreneurship.
73 teams reached the final
As part of the GAP Regional Development Administration Project, 73 teams reached the final at TEKNOFEST Southeast this year. The projects prepared by young people from the nine provinces covered by GAP included work in various fields, particularly smart agriculture, advanced healthcare and food technologies.
The finalist teams received mentoring, technical equipment and financial support. Following this support, the young participants presented their projects for evaluation by the jury and visitors at the festival venue.

“TEKNOFEST suits Şanlıurfa very well”

Maral said they had focused particularly on projects aligned with the TEKNOFEST concept over the past four years and that their success this year had doubled compared with last year.
Maral said young people from the region were taking part in all levels of the festival’s competitions, adding that teams were competing in the drone field as well as with projects benefiting humanity. He noted that participants from the region had received first-, second- and third-place prizes, as well as honorable mentions, in various categories.
