The UNICERA fair opens as Gültepe says exporters need affordable costs and financing.

The UNICERA Istanbul Ceramics, Bathroom and Kitchen Fair opened with the participation of Deputy Minister of Trade Özgür Volkan Ağar and TİM Chairman Mustafa Gültepe. Gültepe said the ceramics sector must restore its global competitiveness.

The UNICERA Istanbul Ceramics, Bathroom and Kitchen Fair opened its doors with a ceremony attended by Deputy Minister of Trade Özgür Volkan Ağar and Turkish Exporters Assembly (TİM) Chairman Mustafa Gültepe.

Speaking at the opening, Gültepe said, "Our ceramics sector holds an important position worldwide with its design, quality and production capabilities. However, developments in our export performance in recent years clearly show that we need to restore our global competitiveness."

Gültepe said, "What our exporters need most today is an environment of affordable costs and financing that will enable them to compete with their global rivals on fair terms. Providing these conditions will pave the way not only for our ceramics sector but for all our sectors."

Ağar and Gültepe also attended TİM's Delegates Workshop on the same day.
