Trabzonspor fans unfurl giant East Turkistan and Palestine flags
Before the Gaziantep FK match at Papara Park, Trabzonspor fans unfurled giant East Turkistan and Palestine flags, displaying the message “United against oppression.” Trabzonspor won the match 2-0.
Fans of Trabzonspor, which hosted Gaziantep FK in the 10th week of the Trendyol Super Lig, unfurled giant East Turkistan and Palestine flags in the stands before the match. A Turkish flag was also displayed alongside them.
“Free Palestine from the river to the sea”
Fans hung banners beneath the flags reading “United against oppression” and “Free Palestine from the river to the sea.” The display in the stands was prepared to draw attention to human rights violations against Uyghur Turks in East Turkistan and Palestinians in Gaza.
Trabzonspor secured a 2-0 victory
Trabzonspor won the match 2-0, which began with the fans’ show of support. The maroon-and-blue side recorded its seventh league victory with the result.
In previous seasons, Trabzonspor fans had also unfurled giant flags and banners supporting Palestine in the stands.
