Ahmet Akyol: Electronic warfare competition is being held for the first time
ASELSAN CEO Ahmet Akyol said the company has been among TEKNOFEST’s stakeholders since the festival was founded. Akyol said the Southeastern TEKNOFEST stages would be held in Diyarbakir after Mardin and in Şanlıurfa on September 30.
Akyol said ASELSAN had organized a significant part of the competitions in Diyarbakir and that the Electronic Warfare Competition was being held for the first time as part of Southeastern TEKNOFEST under ASELSAN’s sponsorship. He added that the Artificial Intelligence in Aviation Competition was also taking place in the Southeastern leg for the first time in its renewed format.
Akyol said the participation of nearly 1,000 contestants and more than 300 teams in the field of electronic warfare showed that an environment had emerged in which young people could develop themselves in this area. Describing the organization of a technology festival with young people in southeastern Türkiye as an important development, Akyol said the competitions offered opportunities to work on the technologies of the future.
“Our main goal is to bring their achievements to ASELSAN”
Akyol said that qualified human resources formed the foundation of the work and that they aimed to raise young people not only as users of technology but also as individuals who develop and produce it.
Akyol said they wanted to bring the achievements of the young people taking part in the competitions to ASELSAN and develop, together with them, systems aimed at Türkiye’s future.
