US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, in a statement following the NATO foreign ministers meeting held in Sweden, tried to reassure allies about US troop deployments in Europe. US President Donald Trump's announcement of sending an additional 5,000 troops to Poland, the cancellation of the previously planned deployment of 4,000 troops, and the decision to withdraw troops from Germany had caused confusion within NATO. Rubio stated that the US continuously reviews its troop presence in line with its global commitments and emphasized that this process is carried out in coordination with allies. It is known that the US has a significant number of troops in Germany, Italy, the United Kingdom, and Poland. NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte expressed that Europe's dependence on the US will continue to decrease. Rubio said that NATO is valuable for both Europe and the US.
