Deputy FM Özel receives Bahrain’s ambassador Marzooq in Ankara
Deputy Foreign Minister H. Ali Özel received Bahrain’s Ambassador to Ankara Bassam Ahmed Ali Marzooq on a courtesy visit. They discussed bilateral relations, especially visa cooperation, as well as regional developments.
Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister H. Ali Özel received Bahrain’s Ambassador to Ankara, Bassam Ahmed Ali Marzooq, at the ministry on a courtesy visit.
According to the Foreign Ministry, the two discussed relations between Türkiye and Bahrain, particularly cooperation on visa issues, as well as regional developments.
Amid tension in the Gulf
The meeting came as tensions persist in the Gulf region. U.S. missions in the region, including the embassy in Manama, issued security alerts on Oct. 18, and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov visited Bahrain for talks on security in the Strait of Hormuz.
