The Ministry of Youth and Sports (GSB) announced on Friday, November 6, the 2026-2027 academic-year scholarship and student loan application results, which university students had been awaiting for days. Youth and Sports Minister Osman Aşkın Bak announced the results on his social media account, congratulated young people and urged them not to wait until the last day to approve their undertakings.
Applications for the process administered by the ministry's Credit and Dormitories General Directorate (KYGM) were submitted through e-Government between October 12 and 16. Eligibility was granted to students placed in a higher education program for the first time this year, those continuing their studies in subsequent years and Turkish citizens studying abroad. The ministry did not disclose the number of students entitled to receive scholarships or loans in its announcement of the results.
Where can the results be checked?
Students can view their results through the "Ministry of Youth and Sports Scholarship / Student Loan Application Result Inquiry" service on the e-Government Gateway (turkiye.gov.tr). The service can be accessed using an e-Government password, as well as a mobile signature, electronic signature, Turkish ID card or internet banking. The ministry's website, gsb.gov.tr, and the KYGM website, kygm.gsb.gov.tr, also direct visitors to the inquiry screen.

Students whose results are positive must approve their undertaking through the same screen to receive the support. Scholarship or loan payments are not made before the undertaking is approved. For students in Türkiye, the deadline is 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, November 11.
Students under 18 and those studying abroad
For students between the ages of 15 and 18, approval is completed in two steps: first, a parent must provide parental consent through their own e-Government account, followed by the student's approval of the undertaking. Students under 15 or those without parents can apply with their legal guardians at the nearest provincial directorate of youth and sports or dormitory directorate, bringing documents such as identification and the guardianship order; the undertaking is approved there.
Students studying abroad have been given more time. They must first approve their undertakings on e-Government and then obtain a surety agreement from a notary in Türkiye through a guarantor residing in Türkiye. Both procedures must be completed by 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, December 5, at the latest.
Monthly amounts and payment schedule
The results announcement did not disclose new scholarship or loan amounts. The amounts currently in effect were set after a 33% increase announced by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan following the Cabinet Meeting in early January 2026. Accordingly, associate and undergraduate students receive 4,000 lira per month, master's students receive 8,000 lira and doctoral students receive 12,000 lira. The monthly amount is the same for scholarships and student loans; the difference is that scholarships do not have to be repaid, while loans are repaid after the completion of education.
The ministry has not yet announced the date on which the first payment will be deposited into accounts. The results announcement also did not include a separate schedule for appeals. Students experiencing problems with their applications or results can seek assistance through the ALO GSB line at 444 0 472, which the ministry announced during the application period as operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and through the @KYK_DESTEK account on X.
