At an event in Tel Aviv ahead of Israel's October 27 elections, a young Israeli woman speaking to the British newspaper The Guardian advocated forcibly expelling Palestinians from Gaza and said they should be killed if they refused to leave.
The woman, who spoke with an American accent, said, “I think it is very important to settle in Gaza and annex Gaza. I think this war will never end unless we drive the Arabs out of there. This is our land.”
“God commanded us to take it”
When the reporter noted that many viewers in the United Kingdom and outside Israel might be stunned by these remarks, the woman replied, “Israel is a Jewish state. We should take it because God commanded us to take it.”
Asked, “Where will the Palestinians go?” she answered, “Honestly, any other Arab country, I don't care. Except Jordan, Lebanon and Syria; that is ours too.”
“Or we will kill them”
The woman concluded her threat against Palestinians with a single sentence: “Or we will kill them.” Footage published by Middle East Eye also captures her saying that Palestinians should be “completely” subjected to carpet bombing.
Reacting to the footage, Trita Parsi, executive vice president of the U.S.-based Quincy Institute, said, “Can we stop assuming that this is a fringe view in Israel, the words of a small minority? It is not. Israel has been on this path for a long time.” Parsi argued that Western governments know this very well but continue to fund and enable Israel's genocidal policies.
