Istanbul’s Galata Tower lit up with Palestinian flag on Oct. 7

Galata Tower, one of Istanbul’s landmarks, was illuminated with the Palestinian flag on Oct. 7. The projection, carried out by the Culture and Tourism Ministry’s General Directorate of Cultural Heritage and Museums on Oct. 7 for the past two years, was repeated this year.

The display aimed to draw attention to the situation in Gaza and convey a message of solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Culture and Tourism Minister Mehmet Nuri Ersoy stressed that keeping what is happening in Gaza from being forgotten and not remaining silent in the face of oppression is a shared responsibility of humanity.
