Polish Chief of the General Staff Gen. Wiesław Kukuła visited ROKETSAN facilities as part of his contacts in Türkiye. According to Poland’s General Staff, the visit covered the TAYFUN ballistic missile, TRG/TRLG guided artillery rockets, the ALKA system combining a laser weapon with electronic warfare, the PUSU counter-drone system and the SUNGUR short-range air defense system.
The statement said different versions of TAYFUN were developed to strike distant targets with precision, and that systems such as TRG/TRLG and TAYFUN match the “deep precision strike” capability, one of seven priorities Poland has set for transforming its armed forces. It added that modern deterrence relies not only on striking distant targets but also on protecting troops and critical infrastructure from air threats.

Talks with Güler and Bayraktaroğlu in Ankara
Before the visit, Kukuła was received in Ankara by National Defense Minister Yaşar Güler, with talks covering Turkish-Polish military cooperation and regional security. Chief of General Staff Gen. Selçuk Bayraktaroğlu also welcomed his Polish counterpart with a military ceremony and held bilateral talks, discussing coordination on European security and strengthening NATO’s defense capacity.
No contract, order or negotiation for the procurement of TAYFUN or other ROKETSAN systems was announced. The visit was described as aimed at assessing new technologies and operational capabilities.
