Baykar-Piaggio Aerospace and the Italian State Archives have signed an agreement to preserve and develop the Piaggio Aerospace archives. Announced by Türkiye’s embassy in Rome, the deal provides for the digitization of 28,000 historical drawings, the production of models of Piaggio aircraft and the opening of a permanent exhibition.
A century of aviation heritage

Piaggio Aerospace, one of Italy’s long-established aviation companies, was acquired by Baykar in 2025. The company is known for its P.180 Avanti business aircraft. The agreement aims both to preserve the company’s historical technical drawings and documents and to make them accessible to the public.

Handover ceremony in San Marino
In another engagement, the embassy’s First Counselor Tuna Yücel Modrak attended the ceremony for the change of San Marino’s Captains Regent, the joint heads of state, and wished success to the newly installed Captains Regent Gerardo Giavagnoli and William Casali.
In San Marino, one of the world’s oldest republics, the role of head of state is shared by two Captains Regent elected every six months. Türkiye’s embassy in Rome is also accredited to San Marino.
