Yumaklı Emphasizes Forests, Water, and Soil as the Foundation of the Future
Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı stated in his message on World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought that protecting forests, water, and soil means protecting the future. Yumaklı affirmed their commitment to continue working with afforestation, water efficiency, and climate-resilient policies.
Agriculture and Forestry Minister İbrahim Yumaklı issued a message on the occasion of World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought. Yumaklı stressed that protecting forests, water, and soil means protecting the future.
The Minister stated that they bear the responsibility to leave a greener and more vibrant legacy for the shared world entrusted to future generations. To this end, they have been carrying out afforestation efforts across the country and increasing forest resources day by day.
Yumaklı also noted that water management efforts continue with the same understanding. He pointed out that with the water efficiency campaign launched under the "Zero Loss in Water" vision, they are taking steps to preserve every drop of water.
In his message, Yumaklı conveyed that they implement policies meticulously together with the National Water Council and Provincial Water Councils, building a future resilient to climate change.
He described World Day to Combat Desertification and Drought as a meaningful day that reminds us of these efforts. Yumaklı also expressed their commitment to continue working shoulder to shoulder with the nation for a more resilient, fertile, and greener Turkey.
