Türkiye targets 5,000 MW by 2035
Energy and Natural Resources Minister Alparslan Bayraktar said at the 15th Türkiye Wind Energy Congress in May that Türkiye aims to reach 5,000 megawatts of installed offshore wind capacity by 2035. Four areas off the Gulf of Saros, Gökçeada, Bozcaada and Edremit have been designated as candidate offshore wind zones.
The United Kingdom, one of the world’s largest offshore wind markets, has extensive experience in the field. The embassy presented the event as part of cooperation between the two countries.
