Israeli fire in Gaza kills 8-year-old Palestinian child despite ceasefire
Yamin Saqr, an 8-year-old wounded by Israeli soldiers’ gunfire in Khan Younis on October 28, died in hospital. Gaza’s Health Ministry says 1,574 Palestinians have been killed since the ceasefire began.
An 8-year-old Palestinian child wounded by Israeli soldiers’ gunfire in Khan Younis, in the southern Gaza Strip, died at the hospital where he was receiving treatment.
The official Palestinian news agency WAFA reported that the child, Yamin Hisham Yahya Saqr, was wounded by Israeli soldiers’ gunfire on October 28 in the Qizan Rashwan area south of Khan Younis.
Civil defense teams recovered the body of 47-year-old Muhammad Muslim Atwan Aqays from the rubble in the al-Waha area north of Gaza City. He was killed three days earlier in an Israeli airstrike.
WAFA reported that Israeli drones bombed southern Khan Younis, while military vehicles opened heavy fire east of the Hamed area. Two Palestinians were also killed in an Israeli drone strike on a vehicle at the entrance to the Maghazi Refugee Camp on October 29.
According to data from Gaza’s Health Ministry, 1,574 Palestinians have been killed and 5,687 injured in Israeli attacks since the ceasefire took effect on October 10, 2025. During the same period, 845 bodies have been recovered from beneath the rubble.
The ministry said the number of people killed in Israel’s attacks on Gaza since October 2023 has risen to 74,570, while the number of injured has reached 175,808.
